Kerry joined the team at Anatomy Rehab in 2022, bringing with her a wide range of specialist skills in sports and manual lymphatic drainage massage to assist patients with muscle recovery, swelling
reduction, increase tissue flexibility and work towards better health and performance. As an extremely qualified massage therapist, Kerry utilises different soft tissue and myofascial techniques to enhance recovery, reduce injury risk and increase well-being.
Kerry is your ideal choice if you have problems stemming from your posture, spinal issues or generalised poor mobility.
Her skill and experience as a sports massage therapist ensure an excellent outcome for our patients, with a focus on caring for high-end athletes, corporate professionals and people holding on to stress and tension, leading to pain and stiffness. Sports massage and manual lymphatic drainage are a great adjunct to physiotherapy and chiropractic treatment. Kerry is one of very few qualified Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage therapists in the MENA region which is a therapy growing in demand. It is especially effective pre and post surgery, for swelling management, to improve circulation and for aesthetic results on skin.
Experience and History
Kerry started her career with a bachelor’s degree in Sports Science from the University of Kwa Zulu Natal, South Africa. Her expertise and professional approach to massage therapy quickly made her a top choice for world-class professional athletes. Initially working in a private medical practice with sports people in Durban, South Africa, Kerry treated elite and amateur athletes with massage therapies and injury prevention techniques, including canoeists, runners and cyclists. During this time, she also actively participated herself in sprint and marathon canoeing, building her own experience and knowledge of athletic performance and training demands.
Later on, Kerry expanded her knowledge and training in both sports massage and manual lymphatic drainage in the USA. This training allowed her to work exclusively with high-end patients, with a role as a massage therapist on super yachts around the world for a wide variety of clients, including Olympic-level track athletes. Her passion and enthusiasm for tissue mobility, performance and recovery have provided numerous opportunities to work in locations all over the world and gain highly valuable experience with a wide range of clients.
Today, Kerry is an integral part of the Anatomy Rehab team, providing patients with excellent care utilising sports massage, lymphatic drainage massage, injury prevention and recovery. She has experience in treating a wide range of patients, from improving mobility and correcting posture to reducing stress and tension for a better quality of life and less day-to-day pain.
