Marcelo joined Anatomy Rehab in 2020, using his unique skillset and extensive experience in pediatric physiotherapy to provide specialist care to our infant patients. Over the past 10 years, Marcelo has gained valuable experience in specialist neurological physiotherapy techniques and practices for children and infants. He is in high demand as one of the few Cuevas Medek Exercise (CME) certified Physiotherapists in the Middle East and is a highly valuable member of the Anatomy Rehab team.
Marcelo specialises in developmental and neurological problems in children and babies including cerebral palsy, Downs syndrome, genetic disorders and treats all children with neurological physical dysfunctions. Experience and History
Marcelo graduated with a degree in physiotherapy from the Centro Universitario Metodista IPA, Brazil, in 2012. From there, he continued his training with specialised education at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, to expand his knowledge in Kinesiology. In addition, he is one of the few Cuevas Medek Exercise (CME) certified Physiotherapists in the Middle East after receiving full and comprehensive training from the creator of the technique, allowing him to excel in the treatment of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions in children through physiotherapy.
In 2013, Marcelo set himself up in Brazil as a private physiotherapist, offering private pediatric appointments and treating a wide variety of conditions in young children and babies. In 2018, he explored new territory by joining a Pediatric multidisciplinary team in Dubai at a Pediatric speciality clinic, supporting children with various health concerns and medical diagnoses before joining our team as our specialist pediatric physiotherapist a few years later.
As a passionate and dedicated specialist, Marcelo is enthusiastic about clinical research. He has travelled the world, attending conferences, studying and lecturing in the field of pediatric rehabilitation. His unique knowledge and comprehensive expertise make him an extremely sort after Physiotherapist across the MENA region, and his ongoing contributions to Cuevas Medek Exercise therapy and pediatric physiotherapy, in general, are invaluable for his patients.
